Pyrography Projects

My pyrography work is mostly portraits, and I take a really slow approach with it. I build it up in layers using light burns, then go back in to darken areas and get the values right. I also do a little sanding in between to smooth things out and help control the tones. It takes time, but that’s what helps me lock in the detail and keep everything looking clean.
